Have you ever seen a baby porcupine? They have the beginnings of their quills, but
they aren’t yet dangerous. Soon, they
grow up, and their bodies are covered by 20,000 quills which can be very
dangerous, even deadly, to anything with which they come in contact. This leads to a very isolated life. They don’t live in packs or herds, like most
humans and animals. They often live
alone. But when they do have
relationships with one another, they learn to dance. In order to be close, they have to walk on
their back legs and pull their quills back.
And when they are close, they have to be very careful, or else their
closeness can lead to the other getting hurt.
Enjoy!
